Removable covers give a wide range of possibilities for self-expression - you can style your sofa as precisely as you would yourself! It also gives a budget-friendly option to change the look of your sofa, as you can make a big change on your sofa's appearance by changing just the covers for the arm- and backrests. Having separate covers for each module also makes the cleaning process less daunting as you don't necessarily have to wash all of the sofa covers. If a covers gets ruined beyond repair we also sell them separately :)
We have selected fabrics that suit our removable covers as they have enough stretch and are durable for daily use. Most of them are also washing washable, if not only easy to clean on the surface. If you wish to use a fabric from somewhere else we hope you send us a sample or technical details of the materials used for the fabric and we will check that it suits our product for you to get the full benefits of our removable covers!
Here's how our covers work:
Our talented seamstresses have put a lot of work and heart into creating the unique patterns for our easily manageable yet durable removable covers. Every cover is hand-sewn with precision in our atelier. The covers are attached by stretchy and stiff (extra strong) velcro that runs along the sides of each module (= sofa part) and its cover. The sticky side is attached on the module and the soft counterpart is attached on the cover. This makes sure the velcro won't damage the fabric during wash.
Each cover is like a hood for the module. You place the cover on top of the module and target the top corners in place. Then you begin to pull the cover down equally on each side until you have pulled all the way down to the bottom corners. Here you can check that the inside seam is straight to assure the cover will look tidy when finished (we use a regular shoe horn for this at the atelier!). After this you pull and place the velcro together, and voilá - you have successfully dressed your module!
